Olympic Legend Eddie The Eagle Lands in Panto

Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards to Star in Beauty and the Beast Pantomime at Watersmeet Theatre, Rickmansworth

British sporting legend Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards will be taking to the stage this December in the magical pantomime Beauty and the Beast, playing the delightfully eccentric Professor Crackpot.

Eddie soared to fame as Britain’s first Olympic ski jumper, capturing the hearts of the nation with his underdog spirit and fearless determination at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Now, he brings his charm and comic timing to Rickmansworth in what promises to be a hilariously heartwarming family show.

The nation’s favourite hero showed his determination and spirit more recently in the hit TV show Dancing on Ice where he partnered Vicky Ogden until elimination in the quarter finals. A huge hit with viewers and judges, Eddie is also a modern jive competitor and promises to share some moves with Rickmansworth audiences this December!

Joining Eddie is Steve Ritchie, finalist of The X Factor and contestant on Celebrity Big Brother, who will be flexing his vocals and villainous muscles as the arrogant and entertaining Gaston.

Also returning by popular demand is the fabulous Bunny Galore, back for her third consecutive year at Watersmeet. This Christmas, she’ll be delighting audiences once again – this time as the gloriously over-the-top Cheri Trifle.

With dazzling costumes, toe-tapping tunes, and laugh-out-loud comedy, Beauty and the Beast at Watersmeet Theatre promises to be a festive treat for all ages.

Don’t miss the chance to see Eddie the Eagle soar to new heights – this time, on stage from 5 – 31 December!
