This Christmas, Paul Holman Associates (PHA) proudly bring a brand-new pantomime production of The Wizard of Oz to the stage — a glitteringly new pantomime devised and written by Nick George, guaranteeing plenty of audience participation, creative musical numbers and plenty of fun!
Our pantomime twist on the classic story invites audiences of all ages to boo the baddies, cheer the goodies and join in as we follow Dorothy along the famous road to the colourful Land of Oz, where she teams up with the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion on a journey to find a brain, a heart, courage — and, of course, a way home.
Along the way, they’ll face a wicked witch, unexpected surprises and lots of comic chaos, all brought to life with dazzling sets, spectacular costumes and a big helping of festive fun. And no Christmas panto would be complete without an all-essential Dame, ready to steal the show with outrageous outfits, larger-than-life comedy and plenty of moments to have the audience in stitches.
Nick said:
“PHA are delighted to be the new producers of pantomime at King George’s Hall, bringing with us a wealth of experience producing successful pantomimes across the UK and overseas.
“We’re passionate about creating traditional, feel-good Christmas entertainment with modern sparkle — shows that families return to year after year, and we thrilled to be working with the team at King George’s Hall to deliver a pantomime worthy of the stunning venue and the supportive audiences ready to return.
“Full of laughter, magic and heart, The Wizard of Oz will be the perfect festive treat for families, friends and first-time panto-goers. We can’t wait to see everyone in Blackburn this December.”
