You’re all invited to the ball!

It’s all about the ball this December! As fans get excited for football in Qatar, panto audiences can look forward to the most dazzling ball along the Flyde Coast when Cinderella opens at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham St Annes this December!

This spectacular production is packed with pantomime characters to cheer and boo. Team Cinderella includes her good friend Buttons and the magic of a Fairy Godmother also onside. Team Step-Sisters are never on the right side of kindness and pundits predict they are more likely to get a red card than a glass slipper fitting!

One thing we can be certain of, unlike the game of football, a happy ever after ending is guaranteed for all!

Opening on 5 December, the talented cast include funny man Darren Wright as Buttons and he will feel at home next to the sea having performed on-board P&O Cruises, Celebrity Cruises for Qdos and the luxury cruise liner QE2.

Darren has also performed in many pantomimes across the country, including Dick Whittington at the Palace Theatre Watford, which was written by the legendary Roy Hudd.

This production of Cinderella at Lytham will be directed by Roy’s wife Debbie Flitcroft. With a wealth of experience in performing and directing, Debbie is looking forward to bringing all the pieces together, ensuring everyone’s favourite pantomime really does have something for everyone.

Pantomime producer Paul Holman explained more:

“We’re introducing a whole new cast to Lytham audiences this year. Dylan Jacobs and Paul Brangan will ensure there’s lots of audience interaction from the moment these two arrive on stage as the hateful step-sisters! Naturally Cinderella will never get to the ball without the help of her Fairy Godmother so I’m pleased Naomi Slater will be waving the wand of goodwill and bringing magic and sparkle to the production!  Accomplished actor Andrew Haynes plays the funny but hard-up Baron and Libby Marshall is enchanting in the title role while Adam Stickler as Prince Charming will be looking for the girl who fits the glass slipper.”

Modern music, creative choreography, sumptuous costumes, colourful scenery and an exciting script will bring the story of Cinderella bang up to date! Tickets are on sale now and with performances up to 30 December, audiences are encouraged to book early to ensure they have the best seats and avoid penalty shootout heartache!
