Worthing Panto Star Scoops Top Prize at The Great British Pantomime Awards

Congratulations to Richard David-Caine who last night won the award for Best Supporting Male at the 2018 Great British Pantomime Awards.
Richard was nominated for his role as Herman the Henchman in Paul Holman Associates and Worthing Theatres 2017/18 family pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre. The record-breaking production garnered great critical success with reviewers heralding Richard’s performance as “show-stealing”, “standout”, “hilarious” and “comedy genius”.
With an audience packed full of the great and good of Pantoland, the star-studded event was held at the New Wimbledon Theatre in London and hosted by pantomime royalty, Christopher Biggins.
Richard was up against stiff competition in the category of Best Supporting Male fighting off the likes of Nigel Havers to go on to take home the coveted award.
Producer Paul Holman said: “I’m delighted that Richard’s work in our production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs has been recognised by the Great British Pantomime Awards. The whole production was so well received by the public and critics alike and, in what was a wonderful season for all involved, this really is the cherry on top of the cake.”
Paul Holman Associates and Worthing Theatres will be back at the Pavilion Theatre this Christmas with their festive pantomime, Aladdin, which promises to be more spectacular than ever with dazzling costumes and scenery, side-splitting comedy and an exciting star cast to be announced soon.
Tickets for Aladdin: The Pantomime are on sale now and audiences can book via www.worthingtheatres.co.uk or by calling the Box Office on 01903 206 206.
