Worthing Panto’s Got Talent!

Worthing Panto’s Got Talent!

Four yeses and a standing ovation from the Britain’s Got Talent judges and Hammersmith Apollo audience were the first indicators that the talented group of young men centre stage would go on to be the world’s most successful musical theatre vocal group.

With their boyband styling and outstanding voices, Michael Auger, Thomas Redgrave, Richard Hadfield, Jamie Lambert and Matt Pagan formed Collabro just four weeks before their memorable audience rousing BGT audition, subsequently going on to win the eighth series with the largest majority vote in the show’s history.

A record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco label, the number one selling Stars album, tours of the UK, Asia, Canada and the US, plus a further five more albums kept Collabro at the top of their game in the proceeding years. With the start of 2022, they decided to pursue individual projects and announced their Farewell Tour.

For Michael Auger, post Collabro projects have included appearing as one of the judges on BBC1’s eight-part series of All Together Now alongside Spice Girl Geri Haliwell, co-hosting the annual fundraiser West End Bares, at TROXY in London, alongside Graham Norton, Michele Visage and Amy Hart, pantomime appearances across England and he was voted Fittest Famous Male by @fitfamousmales on Twitter!

Michael’s plans for this year include starring in Worthing’s pantomime, Sleeping Beauty at the Pavilion Theatre. Pantomime producer Paul Holman, for Paul Holman Associates, said:

“I’m thrilled Michael is to appear in this year’s production. He has a real stage presence and a phenomenal voice which is perfect for playing our pantomime hero. Having worked with him in previous productions, where he’s headlined as either Peter Pan, Snow White’s Prince or Aladdin, I’m confident Worthing audiences will be rising to their feet in standing ovations when Sleeping Beauty opens in December!”

Sleeping Beauty opens at the Pavilion Theatre in Worthing on 1 December until 1 January 2024. Tickets can be purchased from the box office on 01903 206206 or online at wtm.uk/panto
