About Paul Holman Associates:

Paul Holman Associates have been producing pantomimes throughout the UK for over 30 years and have a well-respected reputation for presenting first-class family entertainment. Based in South Ruislip, we are a small, collaborative team dedicated to creating spectacular productions incorporating contemporary innovation whilst retaining the time-honoured traditions of pantomime. For the 2022/23 season, PHA will be presenting at least 10 full-scale pantomimes in addition to some small-scale studio productions.

 

Job Description:

The PR & Marketing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the marketing campaigns for PHA’s pantomimes across multiple partner venues, developing PHA’s brand identity, maximising ticket sales and supporting the ongoing growth of the company. This is a highly varied and creative role with great opportunity to bring your own ideas and expertise to an established position. You will be highly organised and able to manage multiple simultaneous deadlines, with a good head for figures and great eye for detail. As well as the more creative aspects of the job, there is a lot of admin so you will be as happy working on the day-to-day organisational aspects (scheduling, artiste diary management, packing costumes for photoshoots etc.) as the more expressive elements of the role.

Salary: Between £24,000 to £28,000 dependent on experience

Working Hours: 40 hours per week with additional hours/travel required over the pantomime season

Location: South Ruislip (potential for hybrid home/office working but must be able to work from the office in South Ruislip at least 2 days per week)

Holidays: 20 days per annum plus bank holidays - no annual leave to be taken in Nov/Dec

Contract: To begin with this will be a fixed-term contract of 12 months with the potential to extend (this will include a 3 month probationary period during which either party may terminate the contract with 2 weeks’ notice; following the probationary period, the notice period will be 2 months for both employer and employee).

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

* Work closely with the marketing teams at all partner venues to support the implementation of successful and innovative production marketing campaigns

* Content creation; oversee the creation of all marketing assets including, artwork for print, advertising for both OOH and across all social media platforms, video and photographic content

* Organisation, scheduling and direction of complex photo/film shoots, press launches, promo events (including Christmas lights switch on’s etc.)

* Creative Copy; including press releases, educational packs, press packs, website and print production copy

* Sales analysis; provide weekly sales reports to the Directors and Associate Producer, identifying sales trends and areas for growth

* Social Media; maintain PHA’s website and all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube) and develop presence on undeveloped platforms (TikTok etc.)

* Budget management; oversee the expenditure of PHA’s marketing budgets across all partner venues and approve any additional expenditure

* PR; develop PHA’s family brand identity whilst maintaining it’s exemplary reputation within the industry and with the general public

Person Specification:

* Proven strong organisational skills

* Ability to prioritise, meet and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong data analysis skills; ability to identify trends in booking patterns, implement adaptable sales strategies

* Branding experience; develop PHA’s branding and presence across all social media platforms

* Experience of content creation; proficiency in the adobe suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro) advantageous

* Ability to establish great working relationships with colleagues of all backgrounds and levels

* Experience of bid-writing; working knowledge of Arts Council Grantium system advantageous

* 2-3 years theatre marketing experience

* Passion for theatre and particularly pantomime

* Willingness to travel to venues across the UK during the pantomime season and for press launches earlier in the year

* A good sense of humour!
