Coronation Street baddie and Grange Hill favourite heads to Brid Spa

He’s instantly recognisable from the cobbles of Coronation Street and has a special place in the hearts of fans of the classic children’s TV hit Grange Hill. Brian Capron is a multi-award-winning actor with a string of TV and theatre credits. He delighted the nation as Mr Hopwood in Grange Hill, satisfied the taste buds of judges to make it as a finalist in Celebrity Masterchef and earned his place in TV bad boy history as Richard Hillman in Coronation Street.

This December Brian will be encouraging audiences to boo and hiss his pantomime performance as Hillman the Henchman in the pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Bridlington Spa. No stranger to the stage, Brian has appeared in Guys and Dolls, The Rocky Horror Show, Doctor Doolittle and the hit Broadway show Peter Pan.

Having won a record-breaking five awards for Coronation Street at the British Soap Awards (Best Actor, Best Villain, Best Exit, Best Scene and Best Storyline) Brian is perfectly cast as the panto sidekick to the Wicked Queen.

Brain will be aiding and abetting in the archetypal battle of good over evil from 13 December to 2 January.

Every pantomime needs a well-dressed dame and making a welcome return to the Bridlington Spa is Joe Standerline. Voted Dame of the Season in 2018, Joe is well-known for his fabulous frocks. With over 20 years of pantomime productions under his dame’s hat, audiences can look forward to extravagant entrances and costumes worthy of the centre-stage spotlight!

Counteracting the menacing Hillman the Henchman and assuring audiences of all ages have much to laugh about will be in the safe hands of Bridlington’s favourite Troy Harris, who returns for his third consecutive pantomime appearance at Brid Spa.
