Cbeebies Favourite to Tame Panto Beast!
This year’s Harlequin Theatre pantomime will star a Cbeebies favourite in the role of Bellein Beauty and the Beast. Joanna Adeyinka-Burford will be stepping into the iconic gold dress and using her Cbeebies presenting skills to tame the Beast and teach the world beauty is more than skin deep!
Joanna is a well-known face to children and parents being a regular presenter in the CBeebies house and having presented The Let’s Go Club on Cbeebies, Laugh out Loud (Nickelodeon), BBC Live Lessons and has enjoyed hosting The Cbeebies Bedtime Story tent throughout the summer too.
She trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London and The New York Film Academy and has appeared in Holby City, Doctors and Little Britain. As for family Christmas entertainment, Joanna has appeared in The Night Before Christmas and The Snow Queen for Cbeebies, Dick Whittington and his Cat, and as the princess in the pantomime Aladdin.
Beauty and the Beast runs from 8 to 31 December 2023. Joining Joanna on the Harlequin Theatre stage will be another children’s TV favourite with Dave Benson Phillips as Professor Crackpot, Belle’s befuddled, baffled and brilliantly funny father!
