CBeebies Favourite to Star in Spectacular Worthing Panto

Worthing Theatres have announced that CBeebies presenter Rebecca Keatley will star as Princess Jasmine in this year’s magical family pantomime, Aladdin, at the Pavilion Theatre from Friday 30th November 2018 to Tuesday 1st January 2019.
Rebecca is known to millions of fans both young and old as the bubbly and vivacious anchor of the CBeebies House and hit children’s TV Show, Let’s Play.
Rebecca, who grew up in Port Talbot, South Wales, has been a regular face on UK TV screens since joining Let’s Play in 2012 and her sense of fun has cemented her place as a firm favourite amongst the loyal viewers. Her time on the popular TV show has seen her play a plethora of colourful characters from a plumber to a pirate to a jungle explorer and everything imaginable in between.
When not in front of the camera, Rebecca lends her recognisable Welsh lilt to CBeebies Time for School and My Family as the familiar voice of the Narrator.
Rebecca, who trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London is no stranger to festive productions having starred in six CBeebies Christmas shows and has said she is “excited to be spending the festive season by the seaside in Worthing this year”.
Rebecca is the first star name to be announced for this year’s production of Aladdin. Pantomime Producer Paul Holman said: “We are thrilled that Rebecca will be joining the cast of Aladdin. Her popularity with a whole generation of children (and parents), not to mention her dynamic energy and lovable personality made her the perfect choice for Princess Jasmine”.
This year’s production promises to be more spectacular than ever featuring all of the traditional elements of pantomime combined with dazzling scenery and costumes, bucket loads of laughter and a sensational star cast with further exciting announcements still to come.
