A message from Paul

It is with deep sadness that we have the news that Jenny Elsden (Woolf) passed recently. Jenny had not been well for some time but her courage, cheerfulness and smile were inspirational.

I have known Jenny for many years. In fact, together with her twin sister Jackie, they were The Elsden Twins and for many years performed their act in number one theatres throughout the country, stalwarts of leading pantomimes and summer seasons, performing alongside many well- known performers.

For over 20 years, Jenny also worked with us as a children’s coordinator, mainly in Redhill, Worthing and Hoddesdon.

In addition, with Jackie, she also choreographed our productions in Redhill, Camberley and Sutton.

Jenny was a consummate professional and brilliant organiser, always with that beautiful, effervescent smile.

Other than phone calls, my last time seeing Jenny was on the back row at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill last December, when despite being ill, she was in aisle joining in the song sheet!

We shall miss her so much, indeed as I would like to say, the love and the laughter forever.
