It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Nigel Ellacott.

I had the privilege of knowing Nigel for many years, sharing countless memories of pantomime, both past and present.

Nigel was a true wellspring of knowledge, and I was fortunate to have spoken with him earlier this year, talking about his last pantomime and his ever-present optimism for doing another.

For those who may not know, Nigel was not only a beloved figure in the world of pantomime, but also a talented pianist, designer, and writer. His passion for the craft is something we should all remember and admire.

My thoughts are with his partner Andrew and his brother Vivyan during this difficult time.
