A flight of fun and frolics in Folkestone!

A flight of fun and frolics in Folkestone!

It’s open sesame on pantomime magic and mystery at Leas Cliff Hall Folkestone this December!

The spectacular tale of Aladdin and his quest to marry the emperor’s daughter is a familiar one but bringing the production to life to delight audiences of all ages will include superb special flying effects and a breath-taking jewel laden cave. This production will be adding plenty of new and exciting elements too, including a female Abanazar and the iconic booming voice of Brian Blessed as the voice of the Genie of the Lamp.

The archetypal pantomime baddie will be played by award-winning actress Nicole Faraday; best known for appearing in ITVs Emmerdale and the hit series Bad Girls. This year, Nicole has been touring the UK in the new musical Soul Sisters and a series of Tonight at the Musicals, raising money for various charities including the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

Pantomime just isn’t panto without booing the baddie, cheering the hero and laughing with the panto fool. Step forward Neil Wheatley as Wishee Washee!

The Middlesborough football fanatic has a long and established career bringing fun and frolics to panto, balancing the art of entertaining children and achieving an abundance of adult laughter too!

Jumping on board the magic carpet as Aladdin is Anthony Sahota, who will be familiar to theatre-goers having recently completed a successful UK tour of David Walliams’ Billionaire Boy and from his appearances on the BBC1 TV programme Let it Shine.

Paul Winterford makes a welcome return to Folkestone following his much-booed ugly sister in panto last year at Leas Cliff Hall! His performance as Widow Twankey is sure to be equally satisfying for audiences of all ages!

Making his PHA pantomime debut, Angelo Paragoso plays the intimidating Emperor while Katie Elizabeth Allgood charms as the Spirit of the Ring.

Taking off from 9 to 31 December, Aladdin is more than a feast of fun, it’s a first class flight to pantoland packed with festive frolics not to be missed!
