New production with Same Difference!

Evil forces will be at play in Broxbourne Civic Hall this Christmas when a far from sleepy production of the classic fairy tale Sleeping Beauty will be brought to life in true pantomime style. - 17 June 2011

Sleeping Beauty has never been performed as a pantomime at the theatre and this production promises to hold true to the great traditions of the seasonal treat that’s a must on every family’s calendar.

In a show action-packed with adventure and audience participation, pantomime producers Paul Holman Associates will be delivering a Sleeping Beauty brimming with true talent in what will be another first for the theatre, when the nations’ favourite brother and sister act take to the stage for the first time in pantomime together.

Same Difference won over the nation in the fourth season of the UK reality TV show The X Factor, where they reached the final and finished third. The successful siblings, Sean and Sarah Smith, then embarked on a sell-out arena tour of the country, to critical and audience acclaim.

In a role perfectly made for her, Sarah will be waving the wand of goodness and magic as the lovely Lilac Fairy who battles with the evil Fairy Carabosse, who has cast a spell on Princess Aurora.

Sean will be a dashing Prince sent to awaken the Princess with a magical kiss, and with his real life handsome hero looks, he’s sure to break a few hearts in Hoddesdon too!

Nurse Katy Cough Drop will be delivering a dame sized performance as she prescribes laughter and comedy for all the family and audiences are guaranteed plenty of toe-tapping, hand-clapping, sing-a-long songs, stunning costumes and scenery straight out of a magical, enchanting land of dreams.
