Crowds of fans and flashing cameras greeted TV star Neil Morrissey yesterday in the sunny market square in Derby, for the launch of Cinderella.
The 'Men Behaving Badly' star arrived in an open-top vintage car with the very loud and colourful Ugly Sisters in the back. Local fans were treated to a live interview between Neil and RAM FM's breakfast favourites Dino and Pete on a purpose-built stage right outside the Derby LIVE Assembly Rooms where the panto will take place later in the year. And the Ugly Sisters (Mark Two and Jamie Steen) delighted the audience by teasing the duo and causing havoc!
The whole event was covered by the BBC and ITV as well as RAM FM (sponsors of the panto) and Radio Derby to name but a few. Those who missed the event (and the chance to get Mr. Morrissey's autograph), could catch him on their local news and hear him on the radio where he treated fans to his Bob the Builder voice and his inimitable charm and ready wit.
